Dangers in Advent.

Every year the Christ Child comes again...
But also the danger posed by Advent wreaths and lights. German homes are once again being decorated a lot to create the typical Christmas spirit. However, this also brings its risks. To ensure that nothing happens to you, we've put together a few tips for you.
The greatest danger during the Christmas season comes from the use of “real" Candles on the Christmas tree.
If possible, avoid candles and decorate your Christmas tree with fairy lights instead. If you can't do without them, please ensure they are on a flame-resistant surface and never leave burning candles unattended. To prevent fires, please use a Christmas tree stand with a water container, as this will keep the tree fresh longer and prevent it from catching fire. Never let candles burn completely; extinguish them early and replace them with new ones. Of course, you should know where to find suitable fire extinguishers in your home.
During the Christmas season, it's best to keep fire extinguishers near any fire hazards. The same advice applies to the Advent wreath, of course.

Of course, open flames aren't the only problem. Fairy lights and other light sources can also pose a danger. Pay attention to the various certification marks on your Christmas decorations. You should also check your lights annually for damage (broken cables, exposed wires, etc.). Only use fairy lights outdoors that are specifically designed for outdoor use!
